The Commonwealth Games International multi-sport event among the athletes from the commonwealth Nations. The Commonwealth Nations are the nation which has been the colony of Britain. There are a total of 56 commonwealth nations, but all the nations do not take part in it, as some do not have good athletes. But the largest Commonwealth Nation takes part in it. As Gabon and Togo are newly added to the commonwealth nation they are expected to participate in the 2026 commonwealth games.
The Commonwealth Games first started in 1930, hosted by Hamilton, Ontario and Canada. From then onward it is conducted in the interval of 4 year. In 1942 and 1946 it was not conducted due to World War II. Commonwealth games for the Pare-athletes started in 2002.
