  • Roger Binney was appointed as the president of BCCI replacing  Sourav Ganguly. He will be the 36th president of the BCCI.
  • Bharati Das appointed as the controller General of Accounts. She is the 27th CGA of India.
  • Durgavati Tiger Reserve will be set-up in Madhya Pradesh. This new tiger reserve will be in Damoh and Sagar district of Madhya Pradesh.
  • GI Mahatsav was organized in Varanasi, in which 11 States participated along with their GI tag. Hyderabad Haleem wins the most popular GI food award.
  • Mallikarjun Kharge defeated Shashi Tharoor to become the first Non-Gandhi president in 24 years of Indian National congress.

The SASTRA Ramanujan Prize for 2022 will be awarded  to Yunqing Tang, an assistant professor of the University of California, USA.

Nansen Refugee award 2022 is given to Angela Markel for allowing the people of Syria as refugees in 2015.

World Green cities2022 award won by Hyderabad and it was also given to Jeju city of South Korea.

Shehan Karunatilaka won the Booker Prize 2022 for his book “The Seven Moons of Maali Almeida ”. He belongs to Sri Lanka.

Ameriican historian Barbara Metcalf has been awarded the Sir Syed Excellence Award 2022, this award is given by Aligarh Muslim University.

Physiology and Medicine : Svante Pääbo Swedish Geneticist, discovered the genetic identity of two of humankind’s earliest ancestors, opening a new window on human evolution in the process.

Physics : Alain Aspect, John Clauser and Anton Zeilinger They conducted experiments in quantum mechanics that laid the groundwork for rapidly-developing new applications in computing and cryptography.
