  • The 36th National Game was held in Gujarat, Services won the highest number of Gold medals (61), but overall most medals were won by Maharashtra.
  • The Women’s Asia Cup was won by India, defeating Sri Lanka. This tournament was hosted by Bangladesh.
  • The Ballon d’ Or award 2022 was won by Karim Benzema from France and in the female category it was won by Alexia Putellas of Spain. This award is given in the field of football.
  • 5th Khelo India Youth Games will be organized in Madhya Pradesh.
  • Tazuni will be the mascot for the 2023 FIFA Women’s Football World Cup.

  • Arunachal Pradesh governor B.D Mishra is given additional charge as governor of Meghalaya in place of Satypal Malik.
  • DY Chandrachud has been appointed as the 50th Chief Justice of India.
  • Roger Binney was appointed as the president of BCCI replacing  Sourav Ganguly. He will be the 36th president of the BCCI.
  • Bharati Das appointed as the controller General of Accounts. She is the 27th CGA of India.
  • Durgavati Tiger Reserve will be set-up in Madhya Pradesh. This new tiger reserve will be in Damoh and Sagar district of Madhya Pradesh.
  • GI Mahatsav was organized in Varanasi, in which 11 States participated along with their GI tag. Hyderabad Haleem wins the most popular GI food award.
  • Mallikarjun Kharge defeated Shashi Tharoor to become the first Non-Gandhi president in 24 years of Indian National congress.
  • Ulf Kristersson elected as the Prime Minister of Sweden.

The SASTRA Ramanujan Prize for 2022 will be awarded  to Yunqing Tang, an assistant professor of the University of California, USA.

The 32nd Bihari Puraskar was given to Dr. Madhav Huda for his 2015 literary criticism book “Pachrang Chola Pahar Sakhi Ri”.

Nansen Refugee award 2022 is given to Angela Markel for allowing the people of Syria as refugees in 2015.

World Green cities2022 award won by Hyderabad and it was also given to Jeju city of South Korea.

Shehan Karunatilaka won the Booker Prize 2022 for his book “The Seven Moons of Maali Almeida ”. He belongs to Sri Lanka.

Ameriican historian Barbara Metcalf has been awarded the Sir Syed Excellence Award 2022, this award is given by Aligarh Muslim University.

Literature : Annie Ernaux – “for the courage and clinical acuity with which she uncovers the roots, estrangements and collective restraints of personal memory”.

Economic Sciences: Ben Bernanke, Douglas Diamond and Philip Dybvig for research on Banks and Financial crises

Nobel Peace Award : Ales Bialiatski, organization Memorial and organization Center for Civil Liberties They have for many years promoted the right to criticize power and protect the fundamental rights of citizens. They have made an outstanding effort to document war crimes, human rights abuses and the abuse of power.

Physiology and Medicine : Svante Pääbo Swedish Geneticist, discovered the genetic identity of two of humankind’s earliest ancestors, opening a new window on human evolution in the process.

Physics : Alain Aspect, John Clauser and Anton Zeilinger They conducted experiments in quantum mechanics that laid the groundwork for rapidly-developing new applications in computing and cryptography.

Chemistry : Carolyn Bertozzi, Morten Meldal and Barry Sharpless They are praised for the development of click chemistry and bio-orthogonal chemistry.
